Celebrating 17 years of award-winning wines from our estate vineyard

Happy autumn everyone and many thanks to all of you who came to visit us this summer to sample our wines and hang out with us under the grape arbor. We enjoyed meeting you all and sharing stories about wine, vineyards and life in general.

Harvest is now behind us and it was another good one. High quality fruit in moderate quantity which promises a more intense wine in general. So far the results lean in that direction. And we had our first harvest of the four year-old Chardonnay. It was sufficiently ripe that we are nurturing a still Chardonnay rather than a Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine. Our trials from 2023 fruit will tell us if that’s another direction we should go.

The photo above shows our riddling racks full of the 2024 Crémant de Maury. It takes 24 days to clear the sediment from the second fermentation before we can begin disgorging and adding a dosage of slightly sweetened Pinot Noir before capping and labeling. For those of you who are not familiar with our wines, we are a small, family owned and operated vineyard and winery within the Puget Sound American Viticultural Area (AVA) dedicated to producing high quality estate-grown wines. Founded in 2008, we grow several clones of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, producing about 120 cases per year of Estate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and a traditional Champagne method sparkling rosé we call Crémant de Maury. We have been growing vinifera grapes on our property near the north shore of Maury Island since 1980.

We are open for wine tastings during summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day (by appointment, see our Visit page). And we can now ship wine to nearly every state.
