2021 Estate Pinot Noir

Our 2021 Estate Pinot Noir is a special vintage due to aggressive pruning that winter. The yield was about half the normal yield, resulting in a wine with more concentrated tanins while maintaining nicely balanced flavors of dark cherry and raspberries. Try it with soft cheeses, salmon, poultry, pork or BBQ.

Reviews

Maury Island Winery 2020 Estate Pinot Noir

This Puget Sound AVA Pinot Noir presents pretty floral aromas, hints of red berries, baking spice and sweet-earth potting soil. On the palate, tart red berries alluding to red huckleberry linger through the mid-palate, then earthy notes of dried leaves, finely textured cocoa and a rocky minerality emerge on the finish.

From Great Northwest Wines 30 Reds under $30:

Maury Island Winery 2014 Estate Pinot Noir, Puget Sound • $25 Winemaker Bill Riley relies entirely on estate grapes on Maury Island, which is just west of West Seattle. This reveals Old World aromas of mushroom, new leather and moist earthiness, followed by bright flavors of pomegranate, cherry and strawberry. The structure is based more on acidity than tannin. It’s an intriguing wine from an unexpected location. (82 cases; 12% alc.) Rated: excellent
